The Mahmood Mosque situated in Forchstrasse, Zürich is the first purpose-built mosque in Switzerland owned and run by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

The foundation stone was laid in August, 25th 1962 by Amatul Hafiz Begum, daughter of he founder of Ahmadiyya-Movement, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. The mosque was inaugured in Juni 1963 in presence of Sir Muhammad Zafrulla Khan and City-President of Zürich, Emil Landolt.

Leader of the mission in Switzerland was Mushtaq Ahmad Bajwa from Juni 1962 until January 1975.
