Nicholas Samir Ekladyous (1991-) is an American student inventor.
Background
Ekladyous was born on November 15, 1991 in
Royal Oak, Michigan to parents Samir and Jacqueline. His father is a native Egyptian who moved to the United States at the age of six. Both of his parents grew up in Warren, Michigan. As a young child, his family lived in Clinton Township, Michigan before moving toImlay City .Education
Ekladyous attended high school at
Cranbrook Kingswood inBloomfield Hills, Michigan . He graduated in 2008, and is currently attending theUniversity of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He plans on majoring in Aeronautical Engineering.Scientific Achievements
Starting in the 5th grade, Ekladyous took part in science fair competitions. Nick took 1st place at the Flint Area Science Fair [ LA View Article: http://viewnewspapers.net/moxie/news/ekladyous-and-cody-do-it-.shtml] six times, took part in the Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge in 2004, and competed at the International Science and Engineering Fair each of his four years in high school where he placed twice. He also received the President's Environmental Youth Award from the EPA in 2002. Ekladyous's work has included a "next-generation child booster seat [Intel Corp.
