Hurstmere Foundation School

Hurstmere Foundation School

Hurstmere Sports College is an all boys comprehensive school located on Hurst Road in Sidcup, a suburb of London, England.

For the last few years the headmaster has been Andrew Stringer who was deputy head until Ian Sharp retired from teaching. Since Mr Sharp took over as head some years ago, the school has made a dramatic increase in its exam results, and has shot up the table.what This helps because the school concentrates on the pupils and not on league tables, of course that matters, but only because how they motivate the pupils, and being a sports college this is easily achieved. In recent years they have built an Astroturf pitch which is also used by the next door neighbours Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School. They have also a built a new sports hall which is the size of 4 badminton/basketball courts, which can also be turned into an indoor football arena. There are not just physical education changes either, at the start of 2007/2008, a whole new food cookery classroom was made, the first in the school.

The tie colours all depend on the year of a pupil. it always changes. At this moment:YR7-BLACK STRIPSYR8-YELLOW STRIPESYR9-BLUE STRIPESYR10-SILVER LIONSYR11-GOLD LIONS
