Roselle Park Conquistadors

The Roselle Park Conquistadors Drum & Bugle Corps are an all-age drum and bugle corps based in Vestal, New York. The corps is currently in the develpoing stages and hopes to begin competition by the year 2010.

History

The Conquistadors were born into the world of Fantasy Drum and Bugle Corps. Much like other fantasy sports, you create a team and try to win it all. Fantasy drum corps goes beyond merely a roster and numbers. Players take ownership over their groups and give them an identity, a name, a look. The Conquistadors as a fantasy group were based out of Roselle Park, New Jersey. They competed in Drum Corps Planet's fantasy drum corps circuit.

The real Conquistadors will be based out of the town of Vestal in Upstate New York and it's surrounding areas. The name 'Roselle Park Conquistadors' will remain unchanged to both pay tribute to the fantasy world from which it came, and to ensure that for IRS and New York State corporation law purposes, there are no similarly named organizations. This also prevents the corps from being restricted to the town of Vestal alone without being able to branch out to other surrounding communities.
