Heenal Raichura

A British Asian woman of 22 years, Heenal Raichura became in July 2008 the UK's youngest-ever doctor [http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/2287406/Britain's-youngest-doctor-starts-work-aged-22.html] .

Ms. Raichura was born in 1985 and studied at the Frances Bardsley School for Girls in Romford, Essex, where she obtained 7 A*s, 3 As and 1 B in her GCSEs (at the age of 14 years) and then at the Coopers' Company and Coborn School in Upminster, where she left with 4 As and 1 B for her A-levels.

The young prodigy had difficulty finding a university to accept her at the tender age of just 16 (the youngest ever medical student), but entered St George's, University of London(formerly known as St George's Hospital Medical School) to read Medicine. Six years later, the talented Ms Raichura graduated with an MBBS from St George's and an intercalated BSc in Anatomy and Developmental Biology from University College London [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_College_London]

Ms Raichura's intelligence was evident early on, as she passed MENSA Tests at the age of 9, with an IQ of 170.

Dr Heenal Raichura began her career in medicine as a junior house officer in early August at University College Hospital in London, England.

On 29th September 2008, she was awarded " Gullands Excellence Award 2008 " by NRI Institute of India at a glittering ceremony held at the Radisson SAS Portman Hotel in Central London on Saturday night [http://international.zeenews.com/inner1.asp?aid=202790&sid=ART&ssid=1] .

During the Navratri [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navratri] festival celebrations,Dr.Heenal Raichura was awarded "Unique Achievement Award" by Nagrecha Trust on Saturday 4th October 2008, attended by more that 1,200 people at Nagrecha Hall in Leyton, London.
