Alon Miasnikov

Alon Miasnikov is the sole professional metal journalist in Israel's rather new and fast growing metal scene, a phenomenon which is still shunned upon by Israel's religious and secular majority.Fact|date=July 2008

He is also a film journalist, editor and lyrics writer who is an household name among the thousands of Israeli heavy metal fans.

Starting out as a writer for Israel's now-defunct Metal Hammer Israel magazine in 1998, he has written for the alternative and heavy metal webzine alternative-zine.com before being appointed as the editor of Israel's only heavy metal webzine – metalist.co.il in 2006.He has also written lyrics for the Israeli heavy metal band Orphaned Land since their inception in 1991, and serves as an advisor and heavy metal expert for several of Israel's largest mainstream media channels, appearing in articles in such newspapers as Yediot Aharonot, Ynet and Maariv.

Miasnikov is also a well-known writer on the subject of horror films, publishing articles in several websites, including a regular column in metalist.co.il.
