rainforest tree of northernQueensland ,Australia . It is endemic to theAtherton Tablelands where it is widespread. Flowers are brown colored and borne on 20-30 cm long racemes. The lens shaped fruit is 3cm long, blue, containing a woody nut with a large edible kernal.
Uses
Atherton almond is cultivated to a limited extent for its edible nut.
