State Bank of Patiala is an associate bank of
State Bank of India . State Bank of Patiala (SBP), originally named "Patiala State Bank", and currently an associate bank of theState Bank of India , was founded on17 November 1917 . SBP was founded by Bhupinder Singh, Maharaja of the princely state ofPatiala ofUndivided India , and the functions of the Bank included the normal functions ofcommercial bank s, as also some functions similar to functions of a central bank for the princely state ofPatiala .After India’s independence, the Bank was made a wholly owned subsidiary of the Government of Punjab. 1 April 1960 , SBP was accorded the status of an Associate bank of the State Bank Group. Presently, the State Bank of Patiala has a network of 830 service outlets, including 750 branches, in all major cities of India, but most of the branches are located in the Indian states of Punjab,Haryana ,Himachal Pradesh ,Rajasthan ,Jammu & Kashmir ,Delhi andChandigarh .ee also
