William Patrick Conelan (
23 December 1895 –28 February 1983 ) was anAustralia n politician. Born inWadmaninga, South Australia , he received a primary education before becoming a tailor's cutter and draper. He was involved in local politics as a member of Brisbane City Council, having moved fromSouth Australia toQueensland . In 1939, he was elected to theAustralian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Griffith. He held the seat until his defeat in 1949.
