Patrice Fa'amasi is a Ni-Vanuatu football player from Port Vila who plays as an attacking midfielder for La Liga club Real Valladolid.

Upon introduction to football at an early age, Fa'amasi immediately showed signs of real talent, though no one but his family were there to notice. Consequently, they sent him to Australia in 1996 after he was accepted into a children's football academy.

He was noticed in 2007 by Jets manager Gary van Egmond and was given a place on their youth side. When new manager Vwaire Adekunde came on, he immediately brought Fa'amasi up into the first team. Fa'amasi made his debut during Round 10 of the 2008-2009 A-League season, on 16 November against Queensland. He showed great pace during the match and delivered the great through ball that allowed Maximo Cox to complete a hat trick.

He scored his first goal during a Round 14 drubbing of Sydney FC at home. He scored the second goal in the 56th minute after being subbed in for Hugues Attilio. The match ended 4-1 in favor of Jets, and manager Vwaire Adekunde commented after the match that he felt the Vanuatuan had been "instrumental" in the result.

He made his first starting appearance for Jets during Round 20 of the 2008-2009 A-League season. The match was at home against Wellington Phoenix, a fixture Jets emerged from victoriously, with Fa'amasi scoring the only goal in a one-all result.

The highlight so far of Fa'amasi's career is his performance in the Preliminary Final of the 2009 A-League Playoff Series, which was also against Wellington, during which he again scored the match's only goal, but this time in the 120th minute. A brilliant piece of individual skill and a nifty touch on a through ball from Badile Adumensa sent Fa'amasi clean through on keeper Moss, and he deftly hammered the ball into the top far corner.

After several succussful years at Jets, including a 2011-2012 premiership- and championship-winning season during which he scored a record-setting 17 goals. Following this breakout performance, Fa'amasi began to draw attention from major European clubs, notably Aston Villa, Everton, Fiorentina, and Atletico Madrid. However, he ultimately chose to sign with Valladolid when Turkish billionaire Hüsnü Özyeğin purchased "Pucela" and offered the most valuable contract to the Ni-Vanuatu mid.

Fa'amasi's transfer fee paid to Newcastle Jets was €1.4 million (or AUD 2.5 million), a record fee paid to Jets for a player.

Reportedly, he was asked on multiple occasions to play for the Australian U-17 side, but refused repeatedly, citing his allegiance to the country where he grew up.
