Taipei Rapid Transit System , located inZhongzheng District ,Taipei ,Taiwan . It was first opened on31 August 2000 .Although the station consists of two island platforms, it is currently served by a single train shuttling between
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Station andXimen Station , even though it is theoretically possible to operate a through service all the way toXindian Station . It is labeled as light green colour onTaipei Metro maps, though it shares the same colour livery as other stations on theXindian Line . The station is generally surrounded by governmental buildings and education institutions, serving mainly students and civil servants and remains relatively quiet for most of the day.The shuttle service operates at a 8 to 10 minutes headway, and LED displays are installed on both platforms to inform passengers of the direction in which the train is travelling towards. To ensure that all tracks on the line remain in serviceable condition, the passenger shuttle service alternates the platform it serves for every four months, while maintenance works are performed on the inoperative platform and track.
