Tom Lloyd was born in the UK and studied Politics and International Relations at
Southampton University . He started writing in earnest after university, and took a job in publishing, where he still works. He currently lives in London.Works
His first two novels are part of a projected five-part
fantasy series, published by Gollancz in the UK and Pyr in the USA, called "The Twilight Reign ", called "The Stormcaller " (2006 ) and "The Twilight Herald " (2007 ). The third, "The Grave Thief " is due for publication in December 2008 / January 2009. They involve the story of Isak, a 'white-eye', a type of man with superhuman powers created by the gods to install order on the chaos of the world, and how he is moulded to fulfil the prophecies which determine his fate, as blood and devastation are wrought upon the world.The Twilight Reign series has been acclaimed for the author's powerful imagination, and his blending of both traditional Tolkeinesque epic fantasy with the grittier world and tone as can be found in such authors as
