Ricky Dennis is the founder of Arena Racing USA and the son of former NASCAR driver Bill Dennis.

Early life and career

Born and raised in the Short Pump area of Richmond, Virginia is the son of Bill Dennis.cite web |url= http://www.arenaracingusa.com/ask_the_expert.php |title= Arena Racing USA - Ask The Expert |publisher= Arena Racing USA] His father won the 1970 Rookie of the Year title in what is now known as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Bill also won the season opening Late Model Sportsman Series – now NASCAR Nationwide Series – race at Daytona (Fla.) three straight years, from 1972 to 1974.

Ricky followed his father into racing in 1982. After a few years of driving, Dennis partnered with Rick Townsend to form Townsend Racing Products in 1984.

While watching a minor league hockey game in 1992, Dennis came up with the idea of arena racing. In November of 2002, Ricky founded Arena Racing USA, which is now operating in three cities in the United States.

Personal life
