Gustav Lorentzen (scientist)

Gustav Lorentzen (1915 - 1995) was a thermodynamic scientist from Norway.
He was professor at Norwegian Institute of Technology then Norwegian University of Science and Technology. In late end of the 1980s, Gustav Lorentzen came to idea again use of CO₂ gas for refrigerant to heating or cooling. He developed modern thermodynamic transcritical cycle in 1988-1991.In 1988, Lorentzen got an idea for a new, but simple and efficient way of regulating CO₂ systems. This was one of a fundamental step of innovating EcoCute machine commercialized in 2000s.
