Edson Elcock (born January 10, 1985 in Brooklyn, New York) is a Trinidadian-American soccer player who last played as midfielder for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division.

Biography

High School

Edson attend Brooklyn Friends High School and set the record for Goals in a season. He was also on the 2003 Brooklyn Friends Basketbball team when they won the NYS State Championship team.

College

In 1999, Elcock began his club career with the Brooklyn Knights U-15 Super Y-League team. [ [http://pdl.uslsoccer.com/home/272910.html Rising Through the Ranks] ] Elcock began his collegiate career at NCAA Division II Wingate University in 2003 where he was the South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year. Following the 2003 season, he transferred to Old Dominion University. He was a 2006 first team All American. In 2006, he helped lead ODU to its fifth straight NCAA tournament appearance as the Monarchs advanced for the first time to the round of 16. Elcock was also honored by the Norfolk Sports Club with the Tom Scott award which is presented to ODU's top senior student athlete. Professional

In 2004, he played one game for the Brooklyn Knights in the fourth division Premier Development League. In 2006, he played for the Virginia Beach Submariners, another PDL team.
