In 2007, Brookfield Square began to remodel the entire mall. Some of the projects were to build a new mall entrance next to Barnes & Noble, build a new food court entrance, redo the center court with fountains, replace the flooring, add more decorative lighting, and add directional signs around the exterior of the mall. This was done to compete directly with
Mayfair Mall , Milwaukee's upscale mall.In the past few years, more restaurants and stores have been built on the mall property. The area's first
Fresh Market ,Fleming's Steakhouse ,Claim Jumper , andMitchell's Fish Market have been built in the mall's parking lots. Opening soon areEthan Allen and Stir Crazy. With all of the new projects, it has created a "Restaurant Row", where most of the restaurants have built on the mall's front exterior. With the new restaurants at the mall, and with all of Bluemound Road's restaurants, it is quickly becoming one of the top dining destinations in the area.External links
