Terrence "Terry" McLarney is currently a Major in the Baltimore Police Department's Homicide Unit. McLarney along with Roger Nolan and Jay Landsman was a Homicide sergeant under the command of Lieutenant Gary D'Addario whose Homicide unit was featured in David Simon's book. McLarney has also appeared on the commentary describing the production of HBO's "The Wire", another work of David Simon displaying the Baltimore Police Department. In July of 2008, McLarney was named the official commander of the Baltimore Police Department's Homicide Unit, a position he had been the acting commander of since May of 2008.
