- Terry M. West
Terry M. West was born in Lake Worth, Texas on September 29, 1965. He had a relatively normal childhood. He played high school and college football. He developed a passion for writing while attending North Texas State University. Terry was a very creative young man. He was a painter, writer, actor and made short films with an old 8mm camera. Terry attended the Manuscriptor's Guild in Houston, Texas in the mid-eighties, and won 2 Guilded Quill awards for his fiction. In 1989, he won a Golden Pen award for his fiction at the Golden Triangle Writer's Conference in Beaumont, Texas. In December 1989, Terry moved to the East Coast and began a career as a professional author. From 1990 to 1997, West worked on numerous writer for hire projects. He worked on several childrens and young adult titles. 1997-1998 was a banner period for Terry. His short story, THE NIGHT OUT, which appeared in Agony in Black #1 by Chanting Monks Press, was a finalist for the 1997 International Horror Guild Awards. In 1999, West began writing and directing independent film. His first feature, BLOOD FOR THE MUSE, based on the comic West had created, was released in 2001. West went on to do a ton of director for hire work for EI Cinema, producing/directing exploiation films such as Sexy 6Th Sense, Lord of the G-Strings, Satan's School for Lust, to name a few. In 2003, West directed his most ambitious film to date, FLESH FOR THE BEAST, for Media Blasters. West has also acted in a few recent independent horror films such as THE BUNKER by Sight Unseen Pictures and THE BLOOD SHED by Southpaw Pictures.
