Louie Savva

Louie Savva is a former parapsychologist.

He studied for his undergraduate degree in psychology at Goldsmiths College, and undertook his PhD (into evolution and precognition) under Professor Chris French, a noted UK skeptic.

In 2003-2004 Louie worked as a researcher at Liverpool Hope University on a large-scale ganzfeld experiment with Dr. Matthew Smith, and in 2004-2005 he worked on a dream ESP experiment at the University of Northampton, as part of the Centre For The Study Of Anomalous Psychological Processes.

He has been awarded several prestigious research grants for the study of paranormal phenomena, including a Perrott-Warrick Grant, Bial Foundation Grant (2003) and the Eileen J. Garrett scholarship from the Parapsychology Foundation (2001). He is a former member of the Society for Psychical Research and the Parapsychological Association.

In 2005, Louie also acted as the programme chair of the Parapsychological Association annual convention (whose duties involve compiling and editing the proceedings, although he did not attend the actual meeting).

But it is through his appearances on LivingTV's paranormal shows 'I'm Famous & Frightened!' and Most Haunted that he is best known.

He is now a vocal skeptic of parapsychology and the paranormal. He is also a passionate atheist.
