Easy Money is a comedy/drama television series produced by Media Rights Capital, which premiered on October 5, 2008 on The CW Television Network. The show—along with Valentine, Surviving Suburbia, and In Harms Way—are shows programmed by Media Rights Capital, an independent producer of television programming. The Sunday night block (5pm–10pm) was sold to the producers on a leased-time basis from The CW after the network had no ratings success with the night.

Season One

1.1 "DNA"
"Easy Money" is a dramedy set in the world of a Southwestern loan shark family. Led by business-minded matriarch Bobette Buffkin, "Prestige Payday Loans" is a thriving quick-cash company. However, they presently encounter competition from the thuggish Mamayo Brothers, and middle son Morgan attempts to ease tensions. At the same time, aided by attractive grad student Julia Miller, he investigates a childhood secret to resolve his feelings of familial alienation, much to Bobette's dismay. Morgan has always been Prestige's "heavy," running down ne'er-do-wells and gambling addicts, a fact he is reluctant to admit to Julia. Meanwhile, his older but less mature brother Cooper knocks heads with corrupt local Detective Yapp, who in turn blackmails Morgan. If Morgan can find a way to fend off the local yokels and unlock the secrets of his past, he just might be able to spend more time with Julia and find a better life for himself. Joe Peraccio, Gary Farmer, Peter Navy Tuiasosopo, and Kimberly Estrada co-star; Alik Sakharov directs a script by executive producers Diane Frolov & Andrew Schneider.
