Ascárico) is a Germanic name which appears in Latin sources as "Asacarius", "Assacarius", "Assaccarius", "Ascaricus", or "Askericus". It is a religious name derived from OHG "asc-", cognate with ash, meaning "tree, spear", alluding to Wodan, and "-ric", cognate with royal/regal, meaning "king". It was used mainly by the Franks and Visigoths. It could refer to:
