Rhodiopolis is a Catholic
titular see . The original diocese was asuffragan of Myra.It is called Rhodia by
Ptolemy (V, 3) andStephanus Byzantius ; Rhodiapolis on its coins and inscriptions; Rhodiopolis byPliny (V, 28), who locates it in the mountains to the north ofCorydalla .Its history is unknown. Its ruins are near modern

Only one bishop is known, Nicholas, present in 518 at a
Council of Constantinople . The "Notitiæ episcopatuum " continue to mention the see as late as the twelfth or thirteenth century.References
