Thierry Braspenning-Balzacq is a Belgian professor of political sciences and international relations at Namur University (
FUNDP , Belgium), where he teaches and conduct research onIR theory, European policies, and epistemology of the social sciences. He is also associate member of theCECRI atUniversité Catholique de Louvain (Belgium), and professor atIEP Paris (France).Recipient of various degrees in political sciences and philosophy at
Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and of a PhD in IR atCambridge University (United Kingdom), he is the author of several books and academic articles, such as "Security versus Freedom: a challenge for Europe's future" (with S.
