With his wife Tammy, Maurice is the proud father of two sons, Eugene (27) and Maurice Watts Jr (6). Together they have two beautiful grandsons, Elisha-Maurice and Eszno-Tobias.
Radio career
In 1982 Maurice began his broadcasting career at radio station WHBI 105.9FM in
New York, New York along side his father Deacon Watts. Together they hosted The Road To Glory gospel program. WHBI soon became WNWK.In 1992 they took their show to WHCR 90.3FM. Maurice often filled in for his dad when needed. Maurice soon become a very demanded Master of Ceremony for various events in New York. He spent more time displaying his vocals behind the microphone just as he did during his years as bass singer for the popular Bronx, New York Gospel quartet balladeers, "The Ecstatistics". Maurice always had a deep desire to host his own radio show where he could mesmerize a receptive listening audience with the best in love songs, slow jams and ballads old and new.
In late September Maurice got his chance. He was offered two time slots at the station and he picked Friday nights, the night for lovers. On October 2, 1992 Maurice hit the airwaves at WHCR with his own radio show, The Love Zone and he's be there every since.
In 2003 Maurice created a 24 hour internet radio station at www.LoveZone247.com so that his listeners can never be without their music.
