cities =Ena lake is located in Northwestern Ontario.Formerly a stop on the CNR, now a small cottage community of approx. 50 seasonal residents and 11 year round residents.
Access is via Kenora, and highway 658, then Ena Lake road (approx 23km north of Kenora).
It may also be reached by boat via the Winnipeg and Mcfarlane rivers. A short portage leads from the Mcfarlane River to Ena Lake.Boat trips to Redditt via the Mcfarlane River and Corn Lake are also possible.
There is a small dam at the outflow of Ena Lake, below which one finds a very senic rapids and falls.In the spring great flocks of White Pelicans fish for spawning fish in the rapids below the falls. Flocks of up to 200 have been observed.
The major inflows to the lake are Octopus Creek (locally called "Ena Brook") from Octopus Lake and the Mcfarlane River (locally called "Corn Creek") from Corn Lake.

Ena Lake is a classic
Canadian Shield lake. The shore is rock with many high ridges and hills. The water is clear and cool.Small mouth bass ,Walleye , andNorthern Pike are abundant. Bass up to 4-5 lbs have been caught. Walleyes are generally in the 3 to 5 lbs range. Pike are generally between 10 and 20 lbs.Whitetail Deer ,Moose , andBlack Bear may be seen along the shore.Beaver s are abundant, especially along Ena Brook and Corn Creek. Many active lodges may be seen, with beavers active during the evenings.Ena Lake is a popular starting point for canoe trips to Vermillion Lake, Octopus Lake, and beyond.
