Victor Joseph Pike CBE CB [ [http://www.npg.org.uk/live/search/person.asp?LinkID=mp81328 NPG details] ] (born 1 July 1907 [ Who was Who1897-2007: London, A & C Black, 2008 ISBN ISBN 9780199540877 ] and died 25 February 1986) was the Anglican Bishop of Sherborne [ "Bishop Of Sherborne Appointment Of The Ven. V. J. Pike (Official Appointments and Notices)" The Times Wednesday, Feb 17, 1960; pg. 12; Issue 54697; col D ] in the third quarter of the 20th century. Educated at Trinity College, Dublin and ordained in 1930 his ministry began with a curacy at Dundrum, Dublin after which he began a long spell as a Chaplain to the Forces, rising eventually to become "Chaplain-General" ["New Chaplain-General (Official Appointments and Notices)" The Times Monday, Jul 16, 1951; pg. 4; Issue 52054; col D ] .
