Chris Cowperthwaite

Chris Cowperthwaite is an American television reporter.

Chris Cowperthwaite began his career at KTVO as one of the Ottumwa, Iowa bureau reporters. He also served as the backup Sports Anchor and backup Weekend Anchor.

In 2003, Cowperthwaite moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, to work for WTOC. After two years, Cowperthwaite moved into the Savannah newsroom, where he was the main nightside reporter and a backup Weekend Anchor.

In 2007 he joined WNCN, NBC17, in Raleigh as the Cary, North Carolina reporter. He spent the 2009 college football season as the Saturday night sports anchor, covering UNC, NC State, Duke and NC Central games.
