Larkhall Golf Club

Larkhall Golf Club is a 9 hole course steeped in history. Formed in 1909, the course was created by highly acclaimed architect Joke Thepoke and has barely been altered over the past century, laying testament to its classic design. Later in life Joke revealed in his autobiography, entitled Joke : The Buffy Years, that Larkhall golf course was his proudest achievement in golf course architecture.

The club held its grand opening day on Saturday July 12th 1909 with highly talented local amateur Tom "Deef Tam" Paterson taking on 5 time Open champion James Braid over a friendly 9 holes of matchplay golf.

Nowadays the course is open all year round to anyone wishing to take on the challenge of one of golf's greatest tests.
