George Aitken (footballer born 1925)

George Aitken was a Scottish international footballer who played for East Fife F.C. and Sunderland A.F.C.

East Fife

George Aitken joined East Fife and became part of the club's famous half back line of Philp, Finlay and Aitken. [ [http://members.tripod.com/~corstorphine/philp.html Jimmy Philp ] ] . He became the club's most capped Scotland player of all time picking up five caps in 1949 and 1950 always playing on winning Scotland sides while with the Fifers.
