Anita Elberse

Anita Elberse, Associate Professor of Business Administration in the Marketing unit at Harvard Business School. She studies the creative industries, covering media, entertainment and sports, and is a leading expert on marketing strategies for the film industry. She is known for an article in the Harvard Business Review on Chris Anderson's The Long Tail theory. In the article, Elberse analyzes sales and customer transactions data that show that digital distribution does not diminish the importance of blockbuster hits.
