Sherine Wong Sook Ling, of Kuala Lumpur won the title of Miss Malaysia Universe in 1998 when she was just 18 years old and represented Malaysia in the 47th Miss Universe Pageant in Hawaii. During her school days she excelled in sports, represented Malaysia in long jump and triple jump event.

Sherine Wong was born in Kuala Lumpur in 1979 and currently pursuing a modeling career in Hong Kong.
