Black dianetics

Black dianetics

Black Dianetics is a form of Dianetics, as discussed by its creator, L. Ron Hubbard.

According to L. Ron Hubbard, Dianetics is a method of achieving set goals using your mind. According to the Church of Scientology, Dianetics can be used to change and improve your life. Frequent claims from Scientologists support the idea that Dianetics is something positive that can be used to make your life better. However, Hubbard also referred to something he called "Black Dianetics." Just like Dianetics, Black Dianetics involves achieving goals using your mind, but those goals may be mean-spirited, cruel, or exploitative.

In effect, its sort of the "dark side" of Scientology. In short, Black Dianetics employs the methods of L. Ron Hubbard's ideas, but for selfish, vindictive, and destructive reasons. Hubbard warns against the use of Black Dianetics in his 1982 book "Dianetics and Scientology Technical Dictionary" (ISBN 0884040372). However, there have also been critics of Hubbard who claim he condoned the use of Black Dianetics against "enemies" of the Church of Scientology.
