Terry A. Osborn, Ph.D., (born November 30, 1966) is an American academic. He is currently Professor and Chair of
Fordham University 's Division of Curriculum and Teaching inNew York City at the Graduate School of Education. Osborn taught public school for six years and was previously on the faculties ofQueens College of City Univerity of New York and theUniversity of Connecticut .Osborn researches and publishes in the areas of foreign language education, interdisciplinary education, and
critical pedagogy . He was a founding officer of theInternational Society for Language Studies and founding co-editor of "Critical Inquiry in Language Studies: An International Journal" currently published byRoutledge [http://www.isls-inc.org] .Dr. Osborn's research has received a number of awards, including the American Educational Studies Association's Critic's Choice Award for his book, "Critical Reflection and the Foreign Language Classroom", published by Bergin & Garvey in
