Zettai Kareshi TV

Zettai Kareshi is a live-action adaptation of the manga based on the manga Absolute Boyfriend by Yuu Watase began airing on Fuji TV on April 15, 2008. In the live-action version, Riiko Izawa is an office lady in search of a boyfriend, and she ends up in possession of a "robot" known as Night Tenjo, who is programmed to be the perfect boyfriend. However, this creates a love triangle with a distinguished young man at her company who also has feelings for her. Riiko is played by Saki Aibu, Night is played by Mokomichi Hayami, and Soshi Asamoto is played by Hiro Mizushima.

Characters

1. Riiko Izawa - Played by actress Aibu Saki. Riiko is a 20 something office temp for a bakery advertising office. She has bad luck with men often getting rejected. She lives by herself in an apartment. She is best friends with Mika. Her life changed when she met a strange salesman who told her about a product that can change her life. The next day she got a house delivery of a robotic boyfriend.

2. Night Tenjo - Played by actor Hayami Mokomichi. Is prototype 01 created by Namikiri Gaku. He is a handsome lover type series robot and is considered as an appliance. Riiko got him after she met with Gaku and due to her drunkenness she ordered her " ideal boyfriend". Night was " delivered to Riiko" and as his manual says was activated by a kiss. He encompasses all the attributes that Riiko would have want in a ideal partner, and is very loyal to Riiko much to her annoyance. Night also carries a bracelet ( in the manga its a rigg) that gathers info as he interacts with Riiko and other women.

3. Asamoto Soshi - Played by actor Mizushima Hiro. He is the younger brother of Shiro, unlike his manga counterpart the TV version of Soshi seems to be very laxed and carefree about work, he also seems to have a reputation as a player. His father seems to see potential in him much to the annoyance of his older brother Shiro. Soshi seems to change after he met Riiko and may be falling for her.

4. Gaku Namikiri- Played by actor Sasaki Kuranosuke. A scientist from Kronos Heaven and creator of prototype 01 also known as Night. Unlike in the manga Gaku is not an alien nor does he dresses in funny clothes. He tracks down the information gathered by Night and often performs maintenance on Night if injured.
