Toyota Cresta

The Toyota Cresta was an automobile made by Toyota launched in 1980. Based on the same chassis as the Mark II, they are very similar. The goal of the Cresta was a higher class luxury version of the Mark II. While the Chaser was the sporty version of the Mark II. Often available with two-tone paint and more interior convenience options. This ended up being more similar to the Cressida. The introduction of the Toyota Camry in the United States, transformed the Cressida into a near luxury car. The Cresta was produced for five generations, ended production in 2000, when it was merged with the Toyota Chaser to form the Toyota Verossa, a sporty luxury car.
