Northern Ireland peace process was initiated, Crowe was the head of theSinn Féin mission to the Forum for Peace and Reconciliation atDublin Castle and is currently a member of Sinn Féin's talks team.Crowe has represented the party in the multi-party negotiations that led up to the
Belfast Agreement in 1998.He has been involved in politics since 1999 when he was elected as a Councillor on
