The Good Girl Gone Bad Tour was the second world concert tour by Barbadian singer Rihanna to support her album "Good Girl Gone Bad". It consisted of three legs with 61 shows and ran for over 6 months, starting in Vancouver, Canada and finishing in Tokyo, Japan. Supporting acts throughout the tour included Akon, Ciara, David Jordan, Chris Brown and various local European acts during the second European leg. Chris Brown and Rihanna will be performing 11 shows in New Zealand Australia starting from October 27 to November 12.

About the tour

The tour was the first tour headlined by Rihanna alone. It presented a whole new image of the singer, as Rihanna was wearing very provocative and revealing S&M leather costumes during each show. Also many live versions of the songs differed from the ones on Rihanna's records. They were given a total makeover and became more rocky and guitar-driven. It was intentional, as Rihanna wanted to embrace her 'bad girl' image.

The stage which was very elaborate consisted of a large set of stairs, 2 large LCD screens which showed images of Rihanna and special made clips during the concert. The stage also consisted of thousands of lights which flashed in different colors, there was also a huge LCD screen in the middle of the stage which was the mainly focused on Rihanna performing. The stage was packed with pyrotechnics and different on stage props which Rihanna and the dancers used during there performances, her back up singers and band were on either side on the stage.

upporting acts

Supporting acts differed throughout the tour. Akon opened shows for Rihanna on all Canadian dates. The rest of the shows during the North American leg didn't have a supporting act. Ciara opened shows for Rihanna on all UK dates in December and David Jordan opened for her on all March UK dates. Chris Brown is going to join Rihanna and perform a full setlist at the Australia and New Zealand leg of the tour.
