Dr. Taylor Hayes (née Hamilton, previously Forrester and Marone) is a fictional character in the CBS soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful". The character has been played by actress Hunter Tylo since May 1990. Tylo left the show when Taylor was presumed dead on October 30, 2002, and returned on April 22, 2005 (she also made a guest appearance in 2004). Tylo was replaced briefly in 1990 by Sherilyn Wolter.

Relationships

Blake Hayes

She had left him due to mental illness and abusive nature. Blake arrived in LA, determined to win her back, in 1991. After several failed attempts to break up Ridge and Taylor, with the help of Margo Lynley MacClaine (Lauren Koslow), Blake left town.

Ridge Forrester

Taylor was originally introduced as Ridge's then-wife Caroline Spencer's (Joanna Johnson) psychiatrist. When Caroline died of cancer, Taylor began dating Ridge, whom she had been interested in before Caroline's death. Ridge and Taylor married in 1992, but when Taylor was presumed dead in a plane crash in 1994, Ridge married Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), a woman he had been engaged to when Caroline was married to Thorne. Taylor was revealed to be alive, and she soon returned to LA. This devastated Brooke as it meant that her marriage to Ridge was invalid. However, Ridge chose Brooke, because of the children, and divorced Taylor. After Ridge annulled his marriage to Brooke, due to Stephanie telling Ridge a fabrication about Brooke and Grant's affair, he decided to re-marry her, and in 1998, celebrated the birth of their first child, Thomas (Drew Tyler Bell). In 1999, Taylor gave birth to twin girls, Phoebe (MacKenzie Mauzy) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Taylor "died" for the second time in 2002, when she was shot by Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). She was revealed to be alive in May 2005, and she and Ridge (who had again married Brooke during Taylor's absence) reunited, before splitting in January 2006. Taylor and Ridge are now apathetic colloborators when it comes to discussing their children.

torm Logan

In 1990, Taylor became romantically involved with a former high school classmate of hers, Storm Logan. He came to Los Angeles to practice law and the two began a romantic relationship, but at the same time, she was obsessed with Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss) who was in love with Brooke Logan who was currently married to his father. Shortly after their engagement ended, Storm left Los Angeles to move to San Francisco to practice law.

tephen Logan

In June of 2006 Taylor and Stephen Logan (Brooke Logan's father) had one nightstand after she sold him 2% of Forrester's Creations giving Nick sole control of the company. She sold it to get back at Stephanie Forrester for using her to keep Brooke and Ridge apart. And also because she was always there for the Forresters and now she that had drinking problems nobody would help her, just as no one would help Brooke who also had issues of drinking which led to her affairs on occasion.

After Brooke found out about the one nightstand she raked Stephen over the coals for getting involved in her life and wanted him out of her life since he abandoned the family years ago. And now it upset her that he was still interfering in her life trying to take the 2% Stephanie had offered her to get back with Ridge. Stephen decided to leave since Brooke blamed him for most of the problems in her life. However, she had no issues regarding him sleeping with Taylor except for his attempt to try to make up for lost times of not being a father to her. Taylor and Stephne no longer have any romantic inclinations toward each other.

However, Taylor was slapped by Stephanie after she suggested that Stephanie was interested in having an intimate affair with her son Ridge. And that Stephanie and she were just alike and she primarily wanted her to be with him so she could vicariously live her fantasies out through her.

James Warwick

While married to Ridge, in 1993, Taylor became friendly with her mentor, Dr. James Warwick (Ian Buchanan). When the two were trapped in a blizzard at Big Bear and believed that they would die, the virginal James begged Taylor to make love to him before they died. She complied, but they survived and Taylor kept their tryst a secret for years. In early 2006, she finally revealed the truth to Ridge, who was furious with her for being a hypocrite by attacking Brooke for making similar mistakes with men. Ridge ended his relationship to Taylor and returned Brooke Logan.

Hector Ramirez

A fireman who sought to sexually seduce Taylor while Ridge was away on a business trip. She kissed Hector on several occasions and almost had a sexual tryst until Brooke caught her and left out of the house. Ridge divorced her after discovering that she wasn't as sexually pure as she had came on for years when she revealed her tryst with James Warwick and she revealed that Brooke caught her and Hector in their bedroom kissing. She confessed because she actually thought that confessing the truth to a man who she'd been hiding the truth from for years would actually prove that he loved her, which proved the opposite. Stephanie even told her not to tell because she knew Ridge was only with her because Stephanie had built her up to be a saint or the good girl and Brooke as the bad girl.This situation triggered her telling Ridge about the James situation.

Grant Chambers

Grant and Taylor had an amorous affair in college and even kissed each other sensually on the lips when they pretended not to know each other at a board meeting but kissed after everyone had left. She was dating Ridge at the time and made him swear to not tell Ridge anything.

Prince Omar

After Taylor's 1994 plane crash, she was rescued from the wreckage by Prince Omar Rashid (Kabir Bedi) of Morocco and taken back to his palace. Omar renamed an amnesiac Taylor "Laila". Taylor slowly regained her memory and wished to return to Ridge, but Omar explained that he was happily married to Brooke. Taylor agreed to stay with Omar and married him in his palace. Taylor returned to LA when her father had a heart attack with Omar but later decided to remain in LA for good. Omar understood that Taylor really loved Ridge and returned to Marocco.

Taylor was supposedly shot dead in October 2002. In May 2005 it was revealed that she had not died, but was, in fact, comatose. Omar had kidnapped her from the hospital, replacing her with an extremely convincing dummy, and taken her back to the palace. When she awoke from the coma, she escaped from the palace, with the help of Dante Damiano (Antonio Sabato, Jr.), and returned to LA.

Thorne Forrester

When a slightly inebriated Taylor accidentally ran over and killed his wife Darla (Schae Harrison) on a foggy night in July 2006, Thorne (Winsor Harmon) turned to Taylor for support, not knowing that it was Taylor who had killed his wife. A guilty Taylor wanted to confess, but Phoebe and Hector insisted that she stay quiet, for fear that she would go to jail. Taylor developed a bond with Thorne and his daughter Aly (Harley Graham), but when Thorne proposed to her, she confessed to him that she was the one who had run over Darla. Thorne was furious at first, but eventually testified for Taylor in court, this leading to her being set free. Thorne and Taylor became engaged, but broke off the engagement when it became clear that Aly, who had recently discovered the truth about Darla's accident, did not want Taylor as a stepmother.

Nick Marone

During therapy sessions with Nick Marone, Taylor bonded with him. They became engaged in March 2007 and began trying to conceive a child. Brooke, Nick's ex-wife (also the love of his life), became determined to win Nick back. In April 2007, they were told by Dr. Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) that Taylor could no longer conceive, and they have now conceived via IVF. However, they are unaware that Brooke's eggs may have been mistakenly implanted in Taylor. Bridget was told by the chief of staff that Brooke's eggs were taken out at 7:35 to be defrosted and the donor eggs were mixed with Nick's sperm at 7:40, so there was no way that Brooke's eggs could have been implanted into Taylor. Taylor and Nick married on May 1, 2007, and Taylor gave birth to a son, Jack Hamilton Marone on October 15. A DNA test was run after Jack was born, which proved that Brooke was in fact his biological mother. Brooke reassured a livid Taylor that Jack was Taylor's son, not Brooke's, and signed away her parental rights. Taylor wasn't in a hurry so she did not sign the papers immediately. Eventually she did, but she still had problems bonding with baby Jack. She has now left Nick due to Nick's unresolved feelings for Brooke. Brooke and Nick were afraid 'the boy' would not be safe with Taylor which caused her to lose custody of baby Jack to Nick. After that, she unleashed her rage at Brooke, blaming her squarely for her troubles. This caused a melt down, she was about to drink a large bottle of vodka, until Rick Forrester (Kyle Lowder) put a stop to it.

Rick Forrester

Rick has always admired Taylor and as a child told Taylor that he wished she was his mother. Brooke believes Taylor is dating her son Rick to get back at her for all the years of pain Taylor has endured by the hand of Brooke. Rick began to support Taylor and showed her what an incredible woman she is. Rick kissed Taylor several times, but she stopped him. After some time she admitted that she had feelings for him too. However when she realized that her daughter (who dated Rick) still had feelings for him, she broke things off with him but he kept pursuing Rick has defied Brooke and taken Taylor's side when his mother proclaims that she will take custody of Jack from her. Rick and Taylor presented papers to a horrified Brooke proclaiming that they will fight her for custody. This has placed Brooke and Taylor, who have always been rivals, even farther apart than ever before. Even though Brooke was opposed, the judge has granted Taylor joint custody of Jack.

Brooke obviously disapproved the relationship between Rick and Taylor, this causes even more friction between Brooke and Taylor. In one of their many arguments Rick said you cannot control your feelings, to which Brooke replies: 'but you can control who you hurt' implying to Phoebe. This is very ironic since she betrayed her daughter Bridget Forrester twice by getting involved with two of her husbands, (one which was a drunken one night stand after she had been physically abused and the other one was Brooke's fiancee which Bridget went after, once Brooke and Nick had broken up)and having a child with one of them, while her daughter was still married with them.

Rick recently asked Taylor to marry him. Taylor could not give an answer because she was worried over how her daughter (who was in Australia at the time) would react.

After the custody drama Phoebe found out about Taylor and Rick's relationship. Taylor broke it off with Rick, because she felt that her daughter could not handle it. In a surprise U-turn, Phoebe told Taylor that she would not stand in her mother and Rick's way. Rick then proposed to Taylor again, who accepted as long as Thomas and Steffy agreed. Steffy returned and gave her mother her blessing.

Taylor and Stephanie's Friendship

Even though Stephanie didn't like Taylor in the beginning, they became friends. At first she disliked Taylor because she wanted Brooke to be with Ridge and not her former husband (Eric), so that she could get her husband back. The problem was that Taylor was in love with Ridge ( who was on the rebound from a dying wife Caroline and a man who was still interested in his ex-fiancee Brooke Logan), a man who originally started off as a playboy whose mother dominated and encouraged his way of life and chose the women he would eventually marry . When Stephanie got her husband back, she became friendly with Taylor. The main reason was that Stephanie preferred her son to be with Taylor and not with Brooke.

When Taylor had problems with alcohol nobody of the Forrester family supported her. She felt betrayed because she thought she was a part of the group, that loved to bash Brooke and abuse her; and now she was being treated like Brooke and being left out in the cold. Something, she had never experienced before since she was the saint. Taylor claimed that Stephanie had used her so that Brooke would stay away from Ridge which is true, but Taylor always welcomed this since she wasn't the one being physically attacked by the group. She felt superior to Brooke and became depressed when it was over. After that the relationship became tense, however Taylor is still willing to help Stephanie through difficult times.

Taylor and Brooke's Rivalry

Taylor and Brooke have disliked each other for a long time which is a key plot in the show. They mostly hate each other because of Ridge. Brooke loves Ridge and Taylor marries him which Brooke didn't like since he had married Taylor on the rebound, a few months after Caroline's death. Also, Ridge hadn't known Taylor that long, but had known Brooke and Caroline for a longer amount of time. And Ridge was Brooke's fiancee first and then Caroline's fiancee and Taylor came on the scene and married him in about six months after her first introduction. And Brooke was always suspicious regarding her past because her past was only partially explored. Taylor then lost Ridge to Brooke after she was supposedly killed by Sheila Carter. After Taylor's 2nd or third fake death Ridge married Brooke again as he ususally did once Taylor was killed and Taylor comes back from the dead again. Omar her ex-husband, the Prince supposedly confiscated her body and made it appear as though she was dead. Once she came back Ridge immediately left Brooke and his son R.J. for Taylor as he usually did when it came to Taylor. For 16 years Ridge would always leave Brooke for Taylor (who usually had a child or was pregnant) or Taylor would go after Ridge after Stephanie or her twisted a story regarding Brooke. Brooke would become depressed and have an affair usually with a man she would eventually marry or become engaged to which is why she developed a negative repuation. After he discovered that his mother Stephanie had lied about Taylor's past transgression of having an adulterous affair did he decide to leave her for Brooke. As of recent it turns out that Brooke is the biological mother of Jack Hamilton Marone, Taylor's child. Also, Taylor has been dating and sleeping with Brooke's son Rick Forrester while having sexual fantasies about Ridge Forrester whose now engaged to marry Brooke Logan Forrester again. She claims she can't bond with Brooke's biological child and is well aware that Brooke's ties to Nick Marone her ex-husband could lead to derailing the marriage plans since Ridge isn't comfortable with Brooke having ties to her ex-husband. (This is primarily one of the major tools Stephanie and Taylor would use to break up Ridge and Brooke. Their ties to their past lovers and their lover's or intended children.) She appears to be sincerely heartbroken about giving up her baby to Brooke, (which Rick Forrester suggested that she do but he's also never wanted Brooke and Ridge together due to Ridge's horrible treatment to his mother in the past) but in the middle of the night she removes Ricks hand in their bedroom after having a sexual fantasy about Ridge her ex-husband and notes to herself that she has to 'stop thinking about Ridge."

Taylor's Inability to Bond with Jack

Taylor is still having problems bonding with Jack Marone (Nick and Brooke's biological child) and relays her concerns to Rick. Rick tells his mother Brooke and she calls Nick to give him this information. Nick and Brooke confront Taylor on her issues to raise Jack and she acknowledges that she's having problems bonding with the baby. She implies that Jack's connection to Brooke is a factor but minimizes the statement after Brooke becomes offended. They suggest psychological help and both promise to help her raise the child if she needs help.

Taylor has also decided to give up baby Jack to Brooke since he's more calm in her presence as oppose to Taylor's. Taylor acknowledges to Nick that she's been in competition with Brooke for so long and hasn't realized it and she wants to do what's best for baby Jack and that's Brooke. She also believes that the baby is possibly picking up on the animosity she has against Brooke. Nick relates to her how this decision could cause problems in Ridge and Brooke's relationship. And she tells Nick, "To forget Ridge and that Jack needs what's best for him now and that's Brooke."

Taylor leaves Rick for Ridge (Brooke's fiancee)

Later that evening in bed with Rick Forrester (Brooke's son) she starts wondering if Ridge will be able to bond with Baby Jack then she has a sexual fantasy about her and Ridge when they were married and she removes Rick's hand from her and says to herself, "I have got to stop thinking about Ridge." It is evident that the story is moving towards another break up between Ridge and Brooke due to Taylor's obsessive need to have Ridge and beat Brooke at all cost. Therefore, Ridge and Taylor will experience a potential get together and Brooke and Nick (even though he's with Katie now)since their Jack's biological parents.She and Rick are supposed to get married, but she later leaves him after telling Brooke that she won't marry him if Brooke gives her Ridge. On October 7. 2008, however, Taylor invited Brooke to the Taylor-Rick wedding.
