"Austrothelphusa" is a genus of freshwater crab found in Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.

Crabs from this genus can construct burrows in clay soils, where they live during dry weather, sealing the mouth of the burrow with mud. The moisture in the air keeps them alive.
