Biosemiotics (journal)

"Biosemiotics" is an international journal on biosemiotics, published by Springer. The first volume appeared in 2008, with 3 issues per year, over 100 pages each. "Biosemiotics" is a journal of the "International Society for Biosemiotic Studies".

The editors of the journal are Marcello Barbieri (editor-in-chief), Claus Emmeche, Donald Favareau, Jesper Hoffmeyer, Kalevi Kull, and Anton Markoš.

The journal was established in order to replace the Journal of Biosemiotics, published by Nova Science Publishers. The journal was also preceded by biosemiotic special volumes in Semiotica, Sign Systems Studies and elsewhere.
