An Poc Fada is a public house located on North Road, in Monaghan, County Monaghan. Its name derives from a popular hurling competition. This is a contest based in mythology where warriors tested each other by seeing who could 'poc' (hit) the 'sliotar' (ball) with a hurley the least amount of times to cover a given distance.
