Lakshmi Kant Verma

Lakshmi Kant Verma (born 15th February 1922) was a Hindi author.

He was born on 15th February 1922 at Basti district in Uttar Pradesh. Later on his Father migrated to Allahbad and started working as a reader in High Court. He had done his schooling from here only and after passing Intermediate he joined Allah bad University in the same year i.e. 1943 at the age of 21 years he went as volunteer of students in the Bengal Famine. After this his educational life had been totally ruined but the destiny had something else written for him as his interest in reading, writing had resulted in by giving him one the highest award in the field of hindi literature.
