Greg Osoweicki

Greg Osoweicki was a professional Heavyweight boxer from Waterbury, Connecticut. As an amateur boxer, Osoweicki advanced to the finals of both the 1968 Sub-Novice and 1969 Open Heavyweight finals of the New York Golden Gloves. In 1968 Osoweicki was defeated by Peter Muller of the Red Hook Boys Club in the finals when the referee stopped the contest in the second round. The following year Osoweicki again advanced to the finals of the New York Golden Gloves only to be defeated on points by Wayne Magee of the Long Island Volunteers Club for the 1969 Heavyweight Open title.

Osoweicki embarked on a pro boxing career in 1973. Osoweicki holds wins by knockout over Bobby Walker, Joe Maye, Gene Idelette and Chico Santos. He was defeated twice by fellow Connecticut boxer Kevin Pantalow. In both fights Osoweicki lost eight round decisions to Pantalow. Additionally, Osoweicki lost a ten round decision to veteran New England Heavyweight Macka Foley.

Osoweicki boxed in the Connecticut area with bouts in Waterbury, New Haven and Hartford.

His unofficial professional record was eight wins and three losses. Six of Osoweicki's wins were by knockout.
