Raphael Bronstein , also studied with Bronstein's famous studentElmar Oliveira , is a highly esteemed violinist. Zhong's violin prowess was recognized at age 14 by renowned violinistNathan Milstein , and led to a series of concerts promoted and arranged by Milstein's manager Harold Shaw in United States, including a debut at New York'sCarnegie Hall main stage at age 16. Since then, he has performed in many cities of the world as a soloists, chamber musician, and recitalist.Jay Zhong [www.jayzhong.4t.com] started violin lessons with his parents around age 4, later was trained in the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. He traveled to America by himself at age 13 to pursue music studies, and earned his Bachelor of Music degree atManhattan School of Music in New York City, and Master of Fine Arts degree atState University of New York at Purchase . Following his mentor Bronstein's step, he devotes much of his time to teaching, and had held professorship atWestern Illinois University andCalifornia State University, Los Angeles [California State University, Los Angeles] , and taught master-classes in both North and South America, and China.Jay Zhong is the author of
