John Doman (born 9 January, 1945) is an American actor. He is best known for playing Deputy Police Commissioner William Rawls on HBO series, "The Wire" from 2002 to 2008. He also had a cameo in the 2003 film "Mystic River". He guest starred in the "" episode "Shakaar". He also portrayed Dr. Carl Deraad on Seasons 5 and 6 of "ER".
