The Harry Markson Award, known alternatively as the Boxing Writers Association of America Fight of the Year Award, has been conferred annually since 2003 by the
Boxing Writers Association of America on the fight, irrespective of theweight class or nationality of the fighters and of the nature of the fight, adjudged by the membership of the Association to have been the best in boxing in a given year.Named for
Harry Markson , aboxing promoter andpublicist who served for five years the president of boxing operations atMadison Square Garden , garnered the BWAA'sJames J.
