Farrer grew up in
Albuquerque, New Mexico where he attendedLas Cruces High School . He then enteredColorado College where he played the 1989 season before transferring to theUniversity of New Mexico . He played from 1990 to 1992 with the Lobos and graduated in 1993 with abachelors degree in philosophy.Professional
During his college years, Farrer also played for the
Albuquerque Gunners ofUSISL . In the fall of 1990, the Gunners became theNew Mexico Roadrunners before changing their name to theNew Mexico Chiles in 1991. He then moved toLincoln City F.C. of the English Third Division for the second half of the season. He returned to the Chiles in 1995. He played seven seasons as a defender with the Burn, retiring from playing on June 17, 2002. Following his retirement, Farrer entered law school at the Univeristy of Texas in Austin.Law
Farrer entered the University of Texas in Austin in 2002. He graduated with his
juris doctor degree in 2005. During his years in law school, he was an editor of the school’s law review. In September 2006, he became an associate with Weil Gotschal & Manges, moving to Yetter, Warden & Coleman in April 2007.References
