Maniac Spider Trash were a glam band that existed from 1992 to 1996, in North Carolina. Their songs focused on themes related to death, much like the songs that the band members would eventually created with their other projects after the band's dissolution. They disbanded in 1996 when the Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 were formed, and never re-surfaced. However, the current line-up for the Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 consists exclusively of the living members of Maniac Spider Trash, as Michael Patrick died in 2001.
