Evocation (band)

Evocation is a death metal band from Borås, Sweden, originally formed in 1991. After recording two demos in 1992 as well as putting on live performances, the band was put on hold in 1993 due to 'musical differences' [ [http://www.evocation.se/ Evocation - Swedish Death Metal ] ] .

In 2004 the band returned, releasing their early demos as a full-length, self-titled album. This was followed by live performances, and the album "Tales from the Tomb" was recorded in 2006. In 2007 Evocation signed to the German label Cyclone Empire [ [http://www.cyclone-empire.com/ cyclone empire - label und vertrieb ] ] , releasing "Tales from the Tomb" and securing a performance at the 2008 Wacken Open Air music festival.
