Kareem Bashir Bhoy was an ex-member of the popular Pakistani pop band,
Strings . While studying at the Government Commerce College in Karachi [cite web|url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5k_5ze9iUKI|title=String - TMA Music Icon|publisher=YouTube |accessdate=2008-06-26] in 1988, in his first year of Intermediate studies Bhoy was approached byBilal Maqsood to play thebass guitar [cite web|url=http://specials.rediff.com/movies/2004/jun/12sld1.htm|title=From Duur to Dhaani|publisher=Rediff |accessdate=2008-06-26] for the band.Bhoy played for the band and recorded two of the bands first album until in 1992, the quartet was disbanded to continue studies. When Maqsood and
